A quick guide to what's
new
This is a fast track to new developments on the site. The whole site is
subject to on going review, but these are the areas that have had most
attention recently;
- 1638
launch February 2006 is the place to find out about our current pride and
joy. 1638, after 13 years of restoration has entered into traffic at the
Bluebell railway in Sussex and this page records the event! The path to 1638
restorationmusings is where the regular restoration updates are to be
found. Its worth it for a journey back in time.
- Take a look at what we have been working on recently, on our
"in progress" page, it is updated regularly.
- There's a complete
archive of Society newsletters, with new additions planned
at regular intervals of even older material that originates from groups that
merged to form the Society in the first place!. The preservation business has
changed a lot in the last 25 years, and the archive really shows this up!
COMING SOON
Watch out for sound files to go with the engines and then after this
some video clips too. Sound uses Real Audio, so, watch out for the RA logo.

Starting to appear now are video clips. These will be accessible to all
and so will take the Real Video format. They will be found among the engine
profiles, but also collectively from this web page.. In the profiles, watch out for this logo
to go to video clips.
Best to bookmark the site I reckon!
